Planet Vintage Girl™ Terms and Conditions
1.1 Goods are authentic, original and previously owned period furniture and accessories. We describe and date goods to the best of our ability. Most items are between 30-100 years old; as such condition will reflect some signs of use and wear unless otherwise stated. Vintage goods normally may have scratches, marks, dents, sympathetic replacements or retouching.
1.2 Goods are offered as works of art, collectables, or for historic interest. We do not guarantee or imply any guarantee of compliance with health and safety standards or fitness of purpose. Since goods were manufactured before current standards, vintage and antique goods may not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) Safety Regulation (1988) and should not be used in a private dwelling.
1.3 Electrical goods are wired for UK 220 volts, but have not necessarily been tested or rewired unless stated. While they may be safe for use, vintage electrical goods are sold as “collector’s electrical items” and with the strict understanding that such goods are untested, without warranty or any guarantee as to working order.
1.4 Electrical goods are offered for sale solely for display purposes or historical interest and might not comply with statutory requirements. Goods are not suitable for connection to mains electricity unless inspected, tested, checked and warranted by a qualified electrician. We will not be liable for any loss, injury or death caused by vintage electrical goods.
1.5 Any weights, dimensions and capacities given about the goods are approximate only. We have taken care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing and that all goods have been described accurately. However, orders will only be processed if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website.
1.6 Prices and stock levels are liable to change at any time. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. If the goods you have ordered are not available from stock, we will contact you by e-mail or phone (if you have given us details). You will have the option either to wait until the item is available from stock or to cancel your order.

- Prices and Payment
2.1 Payment must be made in advance at the time of purchase. Credit or Debit Card details can be taken over the phone (07989406858). Payment can be taken by Bank Transfer or Paypal. We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Payment of the price for the goods represents an offer on your part to purchase the goods, which will be accepted by us only when the goods are dispatched. Only at this point is a legally binding contract created between us.
2.2 Prices exclude delivery costs and will be added to the total amount due. We will not be liable for any export or import duties or taxes arising; customs, duties, taxes and other similar charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.
- Rentals and Prop Hire
3.1 Rental or Prop Hire is available at 30% retail price per week of rental. Cheque or Credit Card payment for total price of item is required for deposit.
3.2 Deposit is returned at the end of the hire period after goods are returned in condition originally hired, less hire costs. We may make a deduction from your deposit for any loss in the value of the goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you (for example, altering the goods in any way.)
- Shipping and Local Collection
4.1 Shipping and Delivery charges vary according to the type of goods ordered and recipient's location.
4.2 We aim to ship items in 5 to 7 days after receipt of payment. Furniture items typically take longer. If an item is needed urgently, please let us know so that we can make arrangements to get goods to you as soon as possible.
4.3 When multiple goods are purchased in a single order and postage costs combined, we will seek to combine shipping, packing and handling costs and refund what we deem as excessive overpayment.
4.4 We gladly ship world wide; please ask for shipping costs to your location with your postal code before purchase if your country is not automatically generated by our website. You will be required to pay extra for shipping and it might not be possible for us to deliver to some locations.
4.5 We re-use boxes and packing materials as much as possible to reduce our carbon footprint. All items are packed to the highest standard using recycled paper, bubble wrap, packing peanuts and strong boxes to ensure goods are safe during transit. Please remember that some shipping companies, such as Royal Mail, do not accept claims for breakages to China or Glass unless special delivery is purchased. Please remember that some shipping companies, such as Royal Mail, do not refund postage, (even with lost items) but only item cost.
4.6 For small items shipped by courier, goods will be your responsibility from the time you take delivery of them. For freight items sent via courier or third party delivery services, goods cease to be our responsibility from the time they leave our premises. Please confirm with third party delivery companies or couriers that they have their own insurance. When receiving your item, be sure to check the item thoroughly and report any problems to the driver at the time of delivery.
4.7 If you prefer, you can arrange to pick up the item yourself. Items must be collected within 14 days of purchase, or item may be either resold or you will be charged additional storage fees.
5.1 Please contact us for delivery charges of specialty items, larger items or furniture before purchase. You will be required to pay extra for delivery and it might not be possible for us to deliver to some locations.
5.2 We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. Please be precise about where you would like the goods left if you are out when we deliver. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions (unless this is caused by our negligence). We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery but delivery times are not guaranteed and therefore time is not of the essence. In any event, we will aim to deliver your goods within 30 days from the day after the day we received your order. If delivery is delayed beyond this time, we will contact you and either agree a mutually acceptable alternative date, or offer you a full refund.
5.3 You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.
- Cancellation rights
6.1 Under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 SI 2013/3134 you have the legal right to cancel your order up to 14 calendar days after the day on which you receive your goods. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract nor will you have to pay any penalty.
6.2 Should you wish to cancel your order, you can use the cancellation form provided at the end of these terms and conditions, or alternatively you can notify us in writing by any durable medium (for example letter sent by post, fax or e-mail).
6.3 If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to our contact address at your own cost and risk. If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the goods for delivery, you should not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at our contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
6.4 Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, and we have either received the goods back or, if earlier, received evidence that you have sent the goods back, we will refund any sum debited by us from your Credit or Debit Card or Paypal account within 14 calendar days.
6.5 We may make a deduction from your refund for any loss in the value of the goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you (for example using the goods prior to cancellation)
- Cancellation by us
7.1 We reserve the right not to process your order if: we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered; we do not deliver to your area; or one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing.
7.2 If we do not process your order for the above reasons, we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your Credit or Debit card or Paypal account as soon as possible, but in any event within 14 days.
8.1 In the unlikely event that goods do not conform to our description or item was grossly misrepresented or if the incorrect item was shipped, please notify us for a return authorisation within 14 calendar days of receiving the item. Item must be returned immediately, accompanied with photographs of damage or discrepancies claimed. Returned goods must be received in the same condition as sent, and be well packaged.
8.2 In the rare case of damage, all original packaging must be kept by you in order to process claims.
8.3 Buyer is responsible for all return shipping, packing and insurance unless we have made an error fulfilling your order and sent you the incorrect item.
8.4 Once we have either received the goods back or received evidence that you have sent the goods back, we will refund any sum debited by us from your Credit or Debit Card or Paypal account within 14 calendar days.
8.5 We may make a deduction from your refund for any loss in the value of the goods supplied if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you (for example using the goods prior to return.)

9.1 Planet Vintage Girl™ is a registered trademark and may not be used in connections with any product or service that is not Planet Vintage Girl™, in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, or disparages or discredits Planet Vintage Girl™.
9.2 Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use, is prohibited without our permission. You may not modify, distribute or repost anything on this website for any purpose.
